Civitas-Solutions Australia works with local governments around Australia to identify if their shire or city has an unmet demand for owner occupier affordable housing.

Local Government often has an existing housing feasibility study, that can be updated if necessary, indicating if there is an unmet owner occupier affordable housing demand.

Subject to the outcome of the feasibility study, Civitas Solutions Australia works with local government to identify sites with a suitable location, size and zoning to construct new owner occupier affordable housing.

Civitas-Solutions Australia then works with Local Government to finalise the financing arrangements. Civitas-Solutions Australia and Local Government establish the new housing co-operative with future owner occupiers from the community who meet the housing co-operative's eligibility criteria for affordable housing.
